5. Can hold ORD with minimal reserve time or CLE with a bit more reserve time
Pro C5:
1. Better initial pay/bonuses
2. Less Doomesday Chatter (for whatever it's worth)
3. In a growth stage (albeit slowly)
No info on either about trip/duty rigs (if any). No info on ASQ's commuter policy.
At this time, AWI and RAH are out of the equation (and TSA/Go are just no) and Envoy wants prior 121 time. Any help in clarifying, correcting, informing, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
I think you've got some of these wrong.
C5 has the better CPP program for a new hire. There's no one with the time to go to United so once you meet the requirements, you're gone. The 90 day verification period is longer than the wait for a classdate when you complete the 1000 PIC. United takes 1% of our seniority list every time they hold a class!
Don't count on our initial pay being higher. The FO pay LOA is expiring December of 2019, and you need to be a trained FO for 1 year before you get that pay bump. Anyone starting class in October isn't ever going to see Dash CA pay.
Growing or shrinking is all based upon the company recruiting. If the company can get more pilots, we will keep growing. If the company can't continue to get pilots, we're going to have serious issues. There is a rumor that we've hired ~45 Australians due to the shut down of JetGo.
From the C5 side, if you want to get in, get your time, and get out, this is a great place to be. You will get paid and fly your ass off which is nice. Just don't expect to enjoy the experience or have QoL while doing it.
