But the only reason to do that in my opinion would be to get a seniority number with the specific carrier you’re wanting to flow to. Otherwise, folks upgrading to PIC at Contour probably have 1000+ hours of TPIC time in a regional jet after 18 months and from there you can probably bypass a regional altogether. Plus, having also looked at the pay scales, unless you really do upgrade at 18 months at a regional I don’t see how you get to guaranteed comp of $75k as a SIC in year 2.
