I got my start as a caravan copilot. It was a good opportunity to learn without being thrown to the wolves. However, it is NOT worth signing a one year sled PIC contract. How long you stay in the bush should really be determined by what your career goals. If your goal is to go to an airline you should leave for a regional as soon as you have 1,500 hours. If it is not, then you should stick around for some PIC time.
