Republic never wanted TSA. They only wanted Compass for their 175’s. The deal was for TSH to sell all three (TSA, Compass, GoJet), but Republics business model is a one fleet type operation. They don’t want the 145’s and CRJ’s, so no deal. However, I wouldn’t consider a ‘Compass only’ deal off the table yet. Trends are showing Republic is making moves towards the West. They want to knock Skywest off the top and unless things drastically change industry-wide, it certainly seems that’s likely to happen.
