Health insurance begins on the 1st of the month FOLLOWING the month in which you start training.
There are multiple options for health insurance. I believe all are PPO. There’s a High Deductible plan with HSA option, a traditional plan with 80/20 coverage, and then the “legacy” plan that has high coverage and extremely high premiums. Most do the HSA or traditional plan. Personally I prefer the HSA.
