Hired in June 2018, finished training in July. Awarded SEA like most other new hires and had a build up line there in October. Then awarded LAX in November (reserve of course). Got PHX December and have been sitting reserve ever since. That’s 4 months of reserve so far and I won’t see a line for probably another 6 months.

The FO list hasn’t been moving much in PHX, but people hired in early May have a line right now. It all depends on your timing. A home base isn’t everything either, I fly 20-50 hours and end up sitting at home 15-25 days per month.

Depending on your situation that could be amazing or if you want hours to upgrade eventually not so amazing. I will say QOL having this kind of time off is pretty amazing and if you prefer to get paid not to work PHX reserve is the spot for you.
