The only place where the AE tool could give you a glimpse of the future would be, there are no displacements, and there are 65 vacancies posted for a particular category. You go on the AE tool 5 minutes before the AE closes and see only 50 people senior to you even have that on their bid. In this case, you would know that of the 65 vacancies, at worst, you would get the 51st one, and you could do a lot better.
