When you're counting up a potentially "22 hour day" where that pilot is going to be landing a 300,000 KG jet? Remember that it's really just a "22 hour day" since Scheduling can and does extend for virtually anything. Yeah... It's probably smart to count that hour since the pilot isn't resting. Just in the name of safety... Not that Atlas Management cares anything about being safe...
If we were talking about an 8 hour day that the people do at those jobs where they're not flying that airplane over my daughter's kindergarten class, then I'm cool with not counting it.
