We get a lot of long layovers at WGN, and it can be boring, but it's usually glorious, though not the same cities you mentioned.
But ACMI pay from 11-13 was pretty bad, so I couldn't imagine being stuck in DXB or HKG for a week on 50k/year and 2 bucks an hour per diem. Entebbe on the other hand, not so bad.
