I think there are plenty of factors besides all the MCAS talk with these accidents. I’m not even convinced the trim system is any main reason, especially with the Ethiopian accident.
Things usually don’t happen instantly, the ‘undesirable aircraft state’ happens over time. That may be a relatively short time, but that’s where one stays ahead of it. Right, wasn’t there, what do I know.
I don’t read every paragraph written about both, just skimming through details.
