IMHO, the 88s/90s are the ‘accumulator’/shock absorber/plan b/whatever else you want to call it. They will remain as long as they are needed depending on how demand/deliveries go. 5 years is possible if there is no downturn, the MAX doesn’t get fixed and the Airbi are late. If demand tanks, the MAX sucks some of our passengers back to SW/AA etc, then all MD’s parked by the end of next year is really likely. Let’s hope for the first case.
