How many times are we going to go round and round about this? Some bozo decides the sky is falling because technology exists in theory and therefore is an easy application to reality, which we know is not valid. Then we spend multiple pages convincing each other what we already know. Enough already.
I'll keep harping on it because every time some industry mouthpiece starts spewing BS about automated airliners, pilots without advanced technical credentials start worrying that the sky is falling and thinking maybe they need to make concessions in order to keep their jobs. That sort of attitude might affect my career, even though automation itself will not.
