No, it really doesn’t. YX will just end up updating their JS priority tables to reciprocate to UA’s priority and the pilot group will follow the company manuals. Hopefully OO/YV will follow suit with that action. A “Jumpseat war” implies denying the JS to someone based on where they work and not following company manuals.
I haven’t seen the updated list, but it sounds like you guys just have to sign a new agreement with ALPA , and then you would have some priority. They’re giving higher priority (Like AA WOs) to carriers that only fly for United. I’m not sure how you would reciprocate? Doesn’t United own ExpressJet?
