Just strictly speaking living situation and just to help others trying to make this decision... currently most Salt Lake (CRJ) trainee set up is a normal hotel room (not a suite). So if you think you can handle sleeping 5 feet from someone for a few months and depending on your financial situation it’s worth the savings probably, but it kind of depends on who they assign you with. You are not guaranteed to be provided a kitchen and no new hire gets per diem, so eating out can get pricey in downtown SLC. Like others said another decision point may come down to what kind of studying do you do, individual studying can get a bit hard or distracting when rooming with others, while group studying might actually be easier. Yes all this sounds less than optimal and I was actually kind of surprised when I got to SLC at the situation, but the training was great as a positive at least. Hope this helps and good luck to you!
