Default Williamsport PA Navaid FQM

Anyone here know why the Williamsport VOR/DME just outside of Williamsport PA has the ID of FQM or more importantly what it stands for? Useless trivia but it’s driving me nuts. FQM is on the arrival into EWR and according to a 1956 chart, used to share the Williamsport airport ID of IPT. Some where along the line the ID was changed from IPT to FQM, but they kept the name Williamsport. Google has yielded nothing. According to the FAA, most NAVAIDS are named for the nearest town, city, or landmark, but scouring the charts and looking at the history of the town of Williamsport, I find nothing.

Thanks for any insight! Like I said, useless trivia resulting from boredom on a red eye last nite/early this morning into EWR.
