Yes, they only pay for the first two weeks of indoc. You will need to pay your own way for the rest of the training.
Now, as to how this compares to CAL, lets look at this realistically. If you have an additional 6 weeks of training post-indoc AND you decide to stay in the same hotel instead of getting a crash pad like most guys do, this will cost you somewhere in the neighborhood of $3000 (assuming $69/night for 6 weeks). This number goes down to around $500 if you get yourself into a crash pad. This is nowhere near the $15-$20K difference in salary at CAL the first year.

Nope, you are right on. Also add in to the equation that the the hotel stay is tax deductable, as well as all your laundry, meals, vans, taxis.... or whatever you want to do at the hotel while in training, and you will end up making up the difference from CAL within 1 - ONE - week after you get online. Not a bad deal if you ask me, but then again - what do I know? I'm just happy to be here!
