I have always tried to get to know the next airplane I was going to before school actually started. Actually my last airline, the best of the big three, is the way they did it . You had the manuals and pretty much needed to know your stuff before school started.
If hey want you to arrive with knowledge of the aircraft and operation, they’ll get the manuals to you for study. Otherwise relax and let them teach you.
