Great post! As someone going thru the process, i can't emphasize enough the importance to have the airlineapps updated and free of errors. That means, all the dates, address, name has to match. Common mistakes such as misspell, inconsistency in the employment history, residence history, educational history must be corrected before Capt. Mills sees your apps.

Make sure you have someone from non-aviation background proof read your apps, so that your apps doesn't have anything that would stand out in a non-pilot's view.

The more personal your DL sponsor can talk to Capt Mills, the more likely your apps will get picked up. He's a very busy person, so it may take couple visits, but it's well worth it. Once you're out of the big stack, you're weeks away before the invitation to interview comes to your email inbox.
