License Conversion
I have a friend who came to U.S. long time ago and got his PPL when he's still under student visa status. <span style="font-size: 10pt;">Years later he became U.S. citizen and moved outside of U.S. for work and got his instrument, commercial license later at foreign country as U.S. citizen. He's thinking moving back to the U.S. and convert his commercial to FAA license. </span><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Does he has to start from PPL for FAA license? Is he going to get the different license number after the conversion as nationality showing U.S. on the certificate if he changed to "American" first name as official name after became U.S. citizen?</span>
