To add to this comment, if it were possible to furlough 10% UAL would have done it, in my opinion. There was a UAL MEC email that made it very clear that they took both grant and loan. The grant language overrules the loan language. That’s why there are no furloughs at UAL. I still believe XJT furloughed trainees and considers that an exception to the guidelines. OR.....they only took the loan.
