Itsajob

When I started out all I could think about was flying jets and nights in a hotel with flight attendants. When I got to my first passenger job, I was flying jets, but all of the flight attendants were as old as my mom. I was robbed. There was a huge hiring wave going on in the late 90’s and I was expecting a quick upgrade, followed by an amazing and lucrative career. After that there was 9/11, furlough, a few different jobs, burning through what little savings I had at the time, retirement age change, recession, displacement (unlike others, I was fortunate and missed a second furlough), a merger, and now this. After all of that, I still consider myself very lucky. Others really got kicked in the teeth. This always has been, and always be a crazy business to be in.
