Absent contractual relief such as decreasing ALV and TLV, I think we'll furlough all 2,558 of those pilots. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see how the company can profitably pay them to sit around and do nothing. I haven't touched an airplane in 3 and a half months. I don't have any secret PBS strategies. We've reduced our flying that much.
I understand this is easy for me to say because I am not in the 2558. But I think that is way way more than will be furloughed. They put up as huge a number as possible to shock us into concessions.
I think this bid will have to be walked back, they just want to try and get concessions before they do.
