Anecdotally, I feel like the Ufly mic itself introduces a lot of ambient noise into the hot mic on the 737. I much prefer flying with someone using the Bose A20, which seems to produce much less white noise and makes it a better experience for both pilots. I feel like the David Clark ANR headsets also produce excessive noise from the mic. I've never seen any data on this though...
Been using ufly mic for years, if the white noise is that high then their mic gain is probably set way too high for that aircraft. The older ones are harder to adjust, newer “harmony” mics I believe have a thumb wheel adjustable gain or something easier than the eyeglass screwdriver on the old models
