Renting a bike seems like it would be fun, but once there, the biking in town seemed very intimidating. Just walking around town is very interesting, and the public transportation is really affordable and easy to use too. Great city to play tourist in. I wish I had more time there.
Do Anne Frank in the winter/off season ... no lines
the cold and dreary helps the experience

renting bikes is great ... however, they have strict rules that are enforced ... better to take the bike on the free ferry over and ride through the neighborhoods
