Dude, it’s jet time vs piston single, it’s a no brainer.

Think about this, when the wheels start turning again the market is still going to be competitive. Someone who has jet time will be ahead of someone else who stayed a CFI hoping their cadet gig pays off.

Maybe you have to go with another regional, but you’d almost certainly find yourself in a 121 cockpit sooner if you can diversify your resume.

I think people need to forget what the industry looked like in February, at least for the next 2-3 years. Cadet programs, hiring CFIs with 1450 piston single and 50 multi piston, etc..., all of that is out the window now. Do whatever it takes to add experience to your resume (okay don’t do PFT) because you will want to stand out for the next few years for sure.
