Agreed. I had the same issue as the OP. I'm retired MIL but I also have small amounts of flight time in many GA aircraft. I put all my flight time in an excell spreadsheet so it was easy to format the spreadsheet to conform to my MIL and civilian logbooks. It's a one time investment of effort. Once you have the spreadsheet complete it's easy to filter the data to answer the questions. Especially handy if you apply at multiple airlines since they all want the data parced differently. You might also ask around about all of the logbook apps out there. I've never used one but I've heard good things. Best of luck!
