As much as I'd like to see the LC\SC Industry Standards, well, Cargo Industry Standard is dramatically different the the Pax Industry Standard for reserve.
So, since there are plenty of ways to protect the system and still improve reserve pilot QOL. How about you trot them out?
How do we get rid of the 90 minute call out and still protect the freight timing? How do we minimize the need to be in Memphis when FedEx wants to protect a hefty portion of every fleets flying every night?

In this increased age of connectivity, there are some things that Should be a no brainer. Why can't Reserve Pilots swap Reserve assignments? Why can't they Trade for OT? Why does the company often seem to have the Never Do a Pilot a favor mindset
There's no need for examples of how the reserve system could be different when there are plenty of examples in the passenger world that have been tried and test and those operations have even more arrivals and departures for fortress hubs clustered around specific times.. The talk about how the system form is different is just regurgitating something that sounds like a negotiating talking point from the management.
Other bases within the company have longer call out times on reserve so its possible.
As for being a junior 757CA, the answers you get will only be good for the moment they are given. Things change based on staffing levels and the operating environment for the company. That said somethings are universal. Everything is better with the job when you live in base.
The thing about the 757 is as a general rule the legs are relatively short and monthly block hours at Fedex are some of the lowest you're gonna find anywhere. Our Pax Bros are flying 70+ blk hours a month. Its the rare fedex guy that's gonna roll that stone and it will likely be by choice
