Exactly! And with this new normal of consistent systemic delays, I don’t see how improved R rules and a longer callout could possibly negatively effect delivery guarantees... which I would hazard a guess are not really being kept anyway.
I flew with a Captain several months ago that lives in base. This person’s attitude was “I don’t commute, I don’t sit reserve, and I don’t give a sh*t about anything other than pay rate. Pay me more money and screw lie-flat seats, it doesn’t effect me anyway.”
I truly hope this person is in the minority.
