I've been burned by this a lot. If they're gonna treat trips like this as a day longer than they actually are for drop/swap purposes then we should get paid an additional 5:15 for trips that block in after 2330. United does.
I'm not sure about UALs language, but you're right, if we're not getting paid for that day, it shouldn't count against us in these instances. I blame DALPA for not negotiating that into the PWA.
