One big issue was the unexpectedly high number of LCPs and especially LLCPs (whose VEOP departure crippled the Company’s ability to train LCP’s replacements). If the Company had metered departure dates for LCPs over a longer period, there would not be such a huge OE backlog even today, but there was no provision for that in the LOA and some fleets, esp the 767 saw a big rush for the door.
