Does Atlas actually have a reason to work with IBT after the decision comes out and the new contract is put together? It seems like they are filling classes and have no shortage of candidates, so why should they care about retention? I have an upcoming class date and also have an interview from a LCC. As it stands now? Zero motivation to stay. If a pilot is fortunate to get picked up by another airline that pays 50% more and has a better 401k match or even a pension, that would be the way to go.
Atlas pilots will have a better idea when a contract is signed. Maybe by the end of this year.
Or sometime next year. Right now NO ONE here knows for sure.
