Bush's administration doesn't end until Jan 20, 2009. Seems to me there is still plenty of time. But then again I'm just guessing. I do think that the merger will happen, with or without ALPA's help. There is a lot of money to be made by the Wall Street types, and they don't really care if the new airline is successful. It's a rare opportunity that airline boards even talk to employees before a merger, or even give them a chance to work up an agreement before hand. Hopefully ALPA can figure something out. Otherwise, I think the merger will happen, and an arbitrator will get to do a seniority list. Good Luck.
