I read what Pixelflying said to you about the 2000 TT. I know the HR folks are working right now on updating the XOJET page on APF with all the info interested folks wish to have.
What I’m posting below is at odds with what Pixel (not trying to call you out Pixel…my apologies brother
) but it is what is being officially advertised by XO as the mins.
The info below comes directly from the
XO Careers section that states the following about hiring mins:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS- 1500 Total Time
- 500 PIC
- 500 MEL
- 150 Instrument
- 100 Turbine
None of that time is required to be in any aircraft that XO flies. We have had folks apply and get hired who had zero jet time also.
Obviously we have folks who are applying that have well above the mins and I don’t say that to discourage anyone from applying, just the times we live in. If interested, I’d apply as long as one meets the mins.

Sorry what i i meant was what are the flight times needed to upgrade to captain? Are they same as the ones listed which is? Or is upgrade available at 2000tt and 100 pic in type?
- 3,000 hours fixed-wing time
- 1,500 hours PIC
- 1,000 hours multi-engine
- 1,000 hours turbine time
- 150 hours pic logged IFR
- 150 hours flight time in previous 365
