I do BOS DCA BOS a dozen times a month. The jump seat is almost always occupied lately. Prior to 2020 the jump seat was usually open.
Because the largest crew member population that does not live in a base lives in the dc area.
Add in IAD is gone and BWI is suspended plus we cut a chunk of our flights and we’ll, it’s jumpseat time.
