jumpseats aren’t what make a company commutable, efficient and commutable trips are. Breeze IS NOT commutable on either plane currently. As a commuter here, quality of life absolutely sucks here. The top 1-2 people in each base have good-great schedules, but the rest of the base takes the brunt of the suck.

the Ejets are all day trips. Some days are front end commutable some are back end commutable. However none of them are both front and back end and because of the times they are scheduled for as well as length you typically can’t get the trips to abut each other to be commutable on both ends.

the A220 is going to be even worse based off of the initial schedule. The two day trips will be a very early 5-6 AM show, flying two legs ending up on the west coast, followed by a ~24hr overnight, and then two legs back to the east coast base the following day arriving between 9-11PM. So you won’t be able to put two two-day trips back to back on that fleet.

Reserve is 11 days off, you will be lucky to spend 6-8 nights actually at home if your commuting to reserve.

until we are consistently flying 7 days of the week, the schedules will suck for the majority of pilots here unless you live in base. The number one pilot here is a commuter. He should be able to get exactly what he wants but yet he almost never gets his schedule the way he bid because the company throws extra trips on everyone’s schedule to cover the flying.
