Due to PB days I have only 1 day of reserve availability. PB---PR/LC---*---X. My release would be 1200 on the LC day. There's a GS for 4 days starting on my PB day. My thought is that day 2 block time would be toward guarantee and day 1,3,4 (and any credit associated with 4) would be above guarantee. I effectively have the LC day off because of the PR portion of the PB ends at 0030 and a 12 hour call out is not possible, however the pay above guarantee won't include day 2. Am I correct? I normally Auto-accept GS and wait for them to call me for acknowledgement so I can negotiate PS for OBGS or ask them to put it on my line temporarily to see what the trip would actually pay me as a RES. I could do that but I would like to know for sure going into the situation. Any ref. is appreciated.
As Bugman and Tennisguru said, it all depends on the PR end time and FDP report time, converted to pilot base time. However, there is something missing in the analysis. If your PR ends at 0030, it's hard to imagine a scenario where you will get GS pay for a FDP on that PR day. Remember, that PR is NOT 30 minutes long - a PR is just a representation of an 24 hour X-day which begins/ends at other than midnight. Likewise, you would likely
not get a PB day in your scenario for said PR day in your scenario. That FDP's block will go towards guarantee.
Also, you said a 12 hour call out is not possible with a PR ending at 0030 PR and a Golden day following. This is not true. You are only auto-released at noon before a golden day
if not otherwise given an assignment. You absolutely can get a 1 day assignment that day, releasing theoretically as late as 2359. You can also get a SC period from 1030-1200, but
if they don't give you an assignment by 1200, you are auto released at that point. You still have 23 hours and 30 minutes of LC that day.
