We can’t get half of this pilot group to wear a uniform respectfully. Furthermore the company seems to have no interest in enforcing it. Do you really think, if allowed, anyone would keep a beard groomed professionally? I have one month of pay that says pilots would be having beard growing contests.

I just saw one of our own walking through the terminal with shirt and pants tailored so tight that they were basically painted on, pants hemmed so high I could see half of his sock, shirt sleeves made so short they were practically in his armpits and fuzzy black loafers with white soles on his feet. He looked liked he enjoyed his protein shakes and he also looked like a complete clown. He was dressed like he was going to work a bachelorette party, not a professional airline captain about to go fly a plane.

I don’t shave on my days off and I like it, but I’m a hard no on beards at work.
