How many of us think F9 is some great destination? I know in the PAST it was (circa prior to 9/11 and maybe prior to Indigo as well), but I think all F9 labor (that's pilots, FAs, gate agents, scheduling, Mx, etc) need to think about the kind of person who ends up working here at this point. Lots of other airlines are hiring and despite the smiling face lies from our CEO, we're not growing. Stock price is 1/2 of what it's opening was. We don't fly anywhere with any frequency of more than 3 flights a day. Our customer service is probably industry lowest and that certainly spills over into the operation and customer behavior. And, pay is now (or will soon be) average of $100 less PER HOUR for CAs than the new contracts being handed out. We certainly don't pay our CS agents, baggage handlers or Mx any great amounts. I would say it's very few who CHOOSE F9 out of shear desire - possibly for a specific base (and to be quite honest, anyone who DOES choose this place w/o some future plans to leave in mind makes me wonder about them). Currently, I think we are the only major w/ a training contract. In fact, I challenge anyone here to pick our one area (that's positive) where we lead the industry.
So, why berate Embry Riddle guy? He or she's obviously a tool and I've often wondered if they're really just some UA pilot with time on they're hand trolling for fun. But, despite that, if there were ever an major airline that deserved such a combination of worthlessness, it's probably us. F9 deserves ERguy.
And, before you start chucking spears my way - this too is obviously a troll piece. Sort of.
As a UA guy I loved it 😂
🍻. When the time comes (and it always does in this business) tell me where to show up and I will once again walk in circles to make sure you get what you deserve in your next contract 👊🏻
