Looking at American and Delta‘s contract, they didn’t get even close to full retro either. Although I would like to have had full retro pay or a short negotiations time frame, it is apparent we don’t have enough pilots willing to fight for it with actions during negotiations.
So using your logic the company is only capitulating and now ready to concede because all the “hard chargers” have stopped? You do realize we’re overstaffed and there’s no extra flying to do right?
About three weeks after the union said we’re getting nowhere all of the sudden the company says ok and we have a TA. Why was that? They KNOW we have a scope problem and they want it signed now. They were afraid more of us would see what a huge problem this is and more NO votes would be coming if they delayed any further. Plus AA and UAL contracts will be coming soon which will make us look even worse so…
And for the scope discussion ask yourself who put the language in there. It’s like a buddy of mine said…” when a guy has a condom in his wallet it’s there for a reason “. I agreed and said great parallel. It’s just like the company adding the language to the scope section…someone’s gonna get ****ed.
