Man I can't wait for when this TA gets voted down and we will be working on lower than regional wages for the foreseeable future. The Mediator will look at our total package vs UPS and NOT Delta, and will put us on ice and tell us to come back once we know what we want as a unified pilot group, cause the company made over a 400 million dollar move toward getting this TA. All the while we'll be losing more and more money per pilot through this peak and most likely next, all while the company enforces 4.a.2.c. and b, therefore losing more money per pilot. Delta, United and American, will already be 2-2.5 years into their contracts getting ready for surveys and eventually openers for their next contracts. And there we will be, just finally unified in negotiating TA2, that will leave us even further behind after they leap frog us again 2 years after we sign TA 2 (maybe).
The infighting will continue for TA2 that is human nature and maybe it will pass in 2 years 53 to 47 for a measley 3-5% more on payrates and definitely no further increase to the legacy pension. But you know we may get CoC for our MBCBP, and a contribution rate just under Delta's. A few hundred more mandatory retirements will have left, and if we haven't furloughed, we will definitely have 300 or more that leave from the bottom due to stagnation, all while we have been flying an almost 10 year old contract, and the company is finished implementing it's DRIVE initiatives. And before the firing squad comes at me, I'm just offering another perspective just like the echo chamber on JFs. I've been through signing an industry leading contract, only to have it yanked, put in to bankruptcy, park jets, downgraded, and I was eventually furloughed.
