As for bringing in ALPA I seem to recall a small group of pilots looked into that around 2019 and made a lot of waves. A steward was involved and went out in a blaze of glory. AR and his goons squashed it pretty quick but the story I heard was that ALPA told the group pushing it that they have a no compete clause with IBT so they can't organize a direct move. You'd have to decertify IBT, go non union, then vote in ALPA. That's pretty risky proposition with this management and all the management friendly and alpa hating pilots at allegiant. I guess that's the real reason they let it go.

You're probably stuck with the IBT. You're better off fixing what you have than burning the house down and starting over. It's unfortunate to hear that AR is still acting like a king and overpromising/underdelivering. Unfortunately, the way he structured "his" local, he's pretty much immune from any challengers. He'll be the Big Boss until he decides he doesn't want to be anymore. Jimmy Hoffa must be proud.

Best of luck in your contract fight. What's unique about allegiant is that you're not just fighting management you've fighting a large group of your fellow pilots who don't want you to rock the boat.
