Spirit deal is mostly dead regardless of the result of the appeal. There will likely be a new DOJ less than a year from now. And if it’s a Trump DOJ, they will not bat an eye if Icahn wants to sell jetblue to another carrier. If it’s another corrupt leftist DOJ, B6 can still be sold to Alaska with little DOJ resistance. I think that’s the most likely scenario regardless of the election results, but there are more options for Icahn if Trump wins.
