Right on. When you’re successful and making money, you expand, just like UA does out of Den. Truth is we got blown out of the water because we are not competing with an inferior product and a sub standard international network. Even Swapa could not come with an explanation into why DEN base was reduced to this point. The excuse of red eyes on the east coast does not justify that level of manpower shift.

I just remember the brief when I went for selection aiming for 1000 airplanes. Ua had the same target they accomplished it we did not. Poor leadership and management led us to this situation. Stagnation affects most of us in career earnings and QOL.

I hope better news will come this winter. AW was suggesting it. BJ was speaking about LHR and CDG. A few 787, Austin base and a good intl expansion would be great. As you said a few more inches of legroom will not turn us around, let’s hope for the best.

Remember the “rock the Rockies” campaign from a year ago? The company found out quickly that passengers preferred United’s product over SWA’s gimmicks and they abruptly canceled that whole thing and started retreating from DEN. I can’t imagine the extra inch of legroom is going to move the needle at all as it relates to the DEN pullback.
