The good thing is that they stopped hiring and supposedly already planned for most of the reductions. Remember a surplus of first year FO's is cheaper to keep around than furloughing people back to compass or mesaba. Any furloughs would be short term because of the soon to be new DAL staffing and work rules as well as the new planes coming on both sides. We shall see.
