To be honest I don't think this really means that much. Just because they go to the HP course doesn't mean as a graduate you are getting an interview or hired. It is just nice to ask them some questions about the company. I think in my class of 20+ there are 5 of us working at SWA.
I disagree because I'm seeing guys who made contacts at HP getting called for interviews; its called networking. It certainly isn't the only way to get an invite, but it can't do anything but help. I got the call and hired without the type and used FTI, but I believe if someone wanted to spend the extra money at HP it would be well worth it. Just remember that its not in the bag just because you have the type and get called for an interview; be HUMBLE and do some interview prep!
