Odds are you would be fighting to get your job back for the next year or two. DW works for the MEC and he dictated the terms and conditions to them and there were no repercussions. As soon as the MEC was put in this position by their employee, they should have tabled the FE issue and motioned for a recall of the MEC Chairman. Then, contact FE and let him have his day in a fair and impartial court.
However, in his continued arrogance, DW forced the matter on his terms and the MEC caved.
I also support my MEC, but believe that they need to take the reigns back and get things under control. The excuse of "he'll be gone soon" no longer flies. He has done more damage to the Unity of this pilot group in the last year than all his previous years of service.
