I can't believe I am "biting" again...as I try to stay off the forums. Just what I get for trying to find the thread on the junior BOT guys trying to hit Vips 3000 times per hour and milk the system dry. I usually get booted off for naming names or using "soft parameter" explicatives anyway but I'll try to be good because I found this...

So, since I am here now I have to say those of you arguing this jumpseat thread...whatever it has to do with the "O" gram anyway...are somewhat misdirected. Except for those of you arguing to NOT deny fellow pilots a ride. Anyway...here's a reminder:Policy could, and used to, allow jumpseats to book every seat on the airplane. So does industry standards..it's your contract that protected a few from being booked without CP. That's right...you love to bash the union all the time on here, but that's what protects the seats from being full.

Now 121.547, supported by your contract--once again--is what gives you PIC authority to bump or deny filling the last, or any seat, for that matter. Oh yeah...the Appellate division of the Supreme Court protected that authority too...thanks to the union for pushing it that far and making the company arbitrate it.

Jumpseat Administration is a travel service. Please don't argue over what an agent does by company policy...it does us all a great dis-service, and confusses those that may be on here that don't know the history, the FOM, or the FAR's on this. Who cares what they do anyway...they don't know what happens beyond the chairs they never get out of.

The association has put all this stuff out over and over again--why are you arguing about this on here?

Now can someone please direct me to the argument thread on the Junior BOTs?
