If you already have a commercial single engine land, then adding a seaplane rating is nothing. A commercial seaplane vs. a private seaplane really isn't anything. No difference. No steep turns, stalls, chandelles. Just take off, landing, taxing, docking, sailing. I did mine in about 8 hours and some of that was just flying for fun since no one around me rents seaplanes. It was deffinatly a good time.
