The cheap Norelco I have washes out with water according to the product manual, but the crap under the blades dumps out with nothing more than a tapping when you open the top. Even if you used an electric twice a day to keep up with your beard it would be easy enough to do. You don't have to be at a sink to use it. I usually walk around the house LOL.
