Yes. She along with 20 other partners/of counsel were terminated yesterday. Unfortunately, her specialty was (is) Commercial Real Estate. Have you seen all of those empty brand new strip malls? She used to zone those and draft lease documents. When the recession hit, her work comprised of "workouts." which is a legal term for how these business owners can get out from under there once proud properties.
. This is the first time in her firms 80 year history they've had to terminate. (other than performance reasons, etc). 09' is going to be a scary year to say the least.
